Panel Description
There is an important gap between the skills that employers look for in graduates and the competencies they actually acquired during their professional career. Additionally, not all competencies are developed nor measured in the same way, being some of them discipline-dependent. Therefore, institutions must be able to innovate in their educational processes so that the student's learning experience is consistent with changes in companies and society in general, without losing sight of the competitiveness and quality of their models. That is why new technologies, applications, and models are required to guide competency development and assessment. In this panel, speakers will discuss the potential applications of AI in this regard, from both the university and business perspectives, whereas the Living Lab & Data Hub of the Institute for the Future of Education will launch the Research Call on Competencies developed by Tecnologico de Monterrey’s students.
Moderator: Michael Fung, Executive Director of the Institute for the Future of Education, Tecnologico de Monterrey (Mexico)
