Ruth Adriana Toro Álvarez is currently the Sub-Director of the Distance Education Unit of the San Ignacio de Loyola University (USIL). She is a Pedagogical Advisor in the Competitive Fund 16 of PMESUT-MINEDU-BID, a member of the team of the Directorate of Teaching Development and Educational Management at the Autonomous University of Peru (UA), a Pedagogical Advisor and Member of the Committee of the Faculty of Management Sciences and the Postgraduate in Business Administration at the UA, and Head of the Virtual Learning Area of the UA.
Ruth A. is also a professor in Language and Communication/Communication and Scientific Writing at the Universidad Científica del Sur (UCSUR), in Learning Strategies at the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM), in the Master's Degree in Virtual Environments at the OTEIMA Technological University (Panama), in Personal and Social Development at the UA, and in Technology and Information Technology at the Pan-American Bilingual Academy of Panama.
She is also Head of the Office of Inter-institutional Relations of the Autonomous University of Peru, Head of the Research Institute of the Simón Bolívar Peruvian University, Coordinator of the Quality Management Area at the Simón Bolívar Peruvian University (Peru), Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Educational Management of URBE (Venezuela), member of the Academic Committee of the Master's in Educational Management of URBE, and President of the Morpheus Foundation (USA).
As a researcher, Ruth A. is attached to the CIHE Humanities and Education Research Center, she is accredited by the Ministry of Science and Technology for the PEII Research and Innovation Stimulus Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology in Venezuela, and advises Educational Projects aimed at the community at the Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases IECLUZ. She acts as a referee in scientific journals in multiple Latin American countries and has authored 24 scientific articles published in specialized journals.
