María Soledad has a PhD in Philosophy and Educational Sciences from the University of Salamanca, Spain. She is a research professor at the School of Humanities and Education at Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico), leader of the Scaling Complex Thinking for All Interdisciplinary Research Group (R4C-IRG) at the Institute for the Future of Education, and coordinator of the UNESCO Chairs "Open Educational Movement for Latin America" and ICDE "Open Educational Resources for Latin America".
Her lines of research are educational innovation and open education. She focuses her activities on the dynamization of educational initiatives, with innovation, research and global sense, as a means of transformation and social impact for lifelong learning and sustainable development.
