Luis Fernando is a Physics Engineer, a Master in Applied Statistics and a PhD in Engineering Sciences by Tecnológico de Monterrey. During his doctoral studies, he did a research stay at the AT&T Research Laboratories in New Jersey, USA, which was focused on the design and implementation of metaheuristics to solve optimization problems in telecommunications, logistics and warehousing.
He has taught professional courses at the Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Monterrey, specializing in the teaching of Mathematics and Statistics. Additionally, he has worked in different companies coordinating areas of Continuous Improvement, Organizational Development, Treasury, Human Resources, Strategic Planning and Business Intelligence.
At the IFE Living Lab, Luis Fernando leads the operation of technology-based research and development calls, EdTech validations for companies and startups, the development of the IFE Experiential Classroom, and the services of the EdTech Marketplace. His research interests are focused on educational innovation, multimodal learning analytics and the use of technologies in higher education.
