Dr. Katherina E. Gallardo is leader of the Competency-Based Education Research Unit (EBC-RU) at the Institute for the Future of Education and professor at the School of Humanities and Education at Tecnológico de Monterrey. She is a member of the National System of Researchers endorsed by CONACyT (Level II). She has a Bachelor's degree in Pedagogy from the National Pedagogical Institute of Monterrico (IPNM, Lima-Peru), a Master's degree in Educational Psychology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a PhD in Educational Innovation and Technology from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. Her line of research is psychopedagogical studies. Her main research areas of interest are learning, performance assessment, development of disciplinary competences and soft skills, and adaptive learning. She has several publications at national and international journals.
