César Cárdenas is the current Academic Director of Engineering and Technology at UNIR in Mexico, and has been a senior consultant and advisor for various national and multinational technology-based companies. He obtained his Ph.D from Télécom ParisTech, France, with a research stay at UC Berkeley, and has a space specialization in the International Space University hosted at Rice University and NASA JSC. Dr. Cárdenas Pérez has 30 years of experience teaching and performing research at Tecnológico de Monterrey, and more than 100 peer-reviewed publications. He has been the technical architect, principal investigator, research member, and advisor for 40 startups, industrial technology innovation projects, and four state-wide innovation centers and high social impact initiatives. His current research is on Future Smart Cities, Societies and Technologies using 5G and beyond networks.
