IFE Living Lab Methodology

The IFE Living Lab provides a real-life co-creation environment that involves several stakeholders as users (businessmen, entrepreneurs, researchers, faculty members, students and staff) with the goal of performing an innovative research process.

Living Lab: An iterative innovation process

The IFE Living Lab is governed by five Key Principles* that determine its research process:

  • Influence: To view users as active competent partners and domain experts.
  • Realism: To carry out innovative educational activities in a realistic, natural, real-life setting.
  • Openness: To open up the innovation research process via Open Science.
  • Sustainability: To generate research that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability for future generations to meet their needs.
