Data Driven Calls

With the objective of opening up the innovation research process, the IFE Data Hub offers open data through different ways. We invite you to consult them in the following Sections.

Data Hub Calls

A Data-driven call for proposals has two main goals:

  1. Provide an anonymized and curated dataset from the Tecnologico de Monterrey on a topic of educational impact.
  2. Support the scientific and academic community in proposing new solutions focused on the issue related to the dataset.

 

The challenge for stakeholders in this type of call is to prepare a research proposal with a scientific contribution. This proposal will become a research article where an Artificial Intelligence or Statistical model is presented, which can be implemented and tested in our educational institution once it has been published in a Q1/Q2 Journal.

Data Descriptor

A data descriptor is derived from the dataset that is developed for each data-driven call for proposals. That is, for each data-driven call, a data descriptor is published. A publication type "Data Descriptor" has the purpose of 1) providing researchers with more details about the variables contained in a dataset, 2) presenting where the dataset can be found and information about its use, as well as 3) introducing the methods used to collect or produce the data (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/data/instructions).
